From 529fef20cf94dbd5c16f7a239ffc2b06f3cf8bb7 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: =?UTF-8?q?Nguy=E1=BB=85n=20Th=C3=A1i=20Ng=E1=BB=8Dc=20Duy?= Date: Sun, 30 Nov 2014 15:24:47 +0700 Subject: checkout: support checking out into a new working directory MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit "git checkout --to" sets up a new working directory with a .git file pointing to $GIT_DIR/worktrees/. It then executes "git checkout" again on the new worktree with the same arguments except "--to" is taken out. The second checkout execution, which is not contaminated with any info from the current repository, will actually check out and everything that normal "git checkout" does.
