* iwlwifi: mvm: rs: enable forcing single stream Tx decisionEyal Shapira2015-02-01
| | | | | | | | | | In certain testing scenarios we'd like to force a decision between STBC/BFER/SISO. In the normal scenario this decision is done by the FW. Enable this option vis debugfs. * iwlwifi: mvm: add beamformer supportEyal Shapira2015-02-01
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | VHT Beamformer (BFER) will be used if the peer supports it and there's a benefit to use it vs. STBC or SISO. The driver now tells the FW whether BFER and/or STBC are allowed but the FW will make the decision to use either or stick to SISO on its own. BFER is limited to a single remote peer. The driver takes care of ensuring this to the FW and prioritizes with which peer BFER will be used. * iwlwifi: mvm: use a new API for enabling STBCEyal Shapira2015-01-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The new API tells the FW that it's allowed to use STBC but the FW will decide on its own whether to use STBC or SISO (and in the future Beamformer). Keep support for the old API which sets STBC explicitly in the rates in the LQ table while we still support old FW revisions. * iwlwifi: mvm: add lq_cmd/tx_resp reduced_tpc fieldEliad Peller2014-04-09
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The fw recently added an option to set tx power reduction per station (in the lq_cmd command), and get the tx power reduction used (in the tx_resp struct). Use them and propogate this value up to mac80211's tx response (in order to use it later in the rate-scaling algorithm). * iwlwifi: mvm: propagate LDPC / STBC status to radiotapEmmanuel Grumbach2014-02-13
| | | | | | | | | | This will allow to get sniffer captures with correct settings for these HT / VHT capabilities. Also set the corresponding HAVE_MCS / VHT_KNOWN bits in the registration to mac80211. * iwlwifi: mvm: add LQ flags definitionsEyal Shapira2013-12-09
| | | | | | | | | Add more bit field definitions used in LQ flags. Also rename the first bit to a shorter name. Signed-off-by: Eyal Shapira <eyal@wizery.com> Reviewed-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: mvm: support VHT in rsEyal Shapira2013-10-02
| | | | | | | | | Enable rs algorithm to use VHT rates and use 80Mhz. This enables reaching VHT rates which wasn't possible. Signed-off-by: Eyal Shapira <eyal@wizery.com> Reviewed-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: mvm: update expected tpt tables for VHTEyal Shapira2013-10-02
| | | | | | | | | | VHT introduces MCS8 and MCS9. Update the expected tpt tables to include these. Previous expected values for 20/40 MHz are incorrect in certain cases so fix these as well. Newer firmware revisions have a completely new firmware API. This is the new driver for this new API. I've listed the people who directly contributed code, but many others from various teams have contributed in other ways.
